Nina Carpioli, I don’t know. I (am a woman) love to penetrate males, but I don’t see as the act of domination. I just love male bodies and their reactions that way. I wish I could feel the actual physical enjoyment out of it, but, oh well… Surgery isn’t there yat. My point is: when I see a hot man and I want to penetrate him, I primarily want to satisfy myself and my instincts physically! I love loving and caring acts. I can be rough, but in this case it’s just more animalistic by nature, it has nothing to do with domination primarily.
CODY CONCEPCION, Did you actually read the articel lol?
the whole point of the article is about double standards in viewing female sexuality only through a heterosexual male gaze.
Indeed, women don’t actually need birth control pills because in the world where female sexuality would be focused on clitoris that would be acknowledged *gasped* that a woman doesn’t need a penetration to feel good.
There is so much packed in here, I don’t know where to start. One thing I notice is Jungian psychology. Knowing thyself is something Jung stresses. Confronting your shadow and your persona and your animus and anima; one must do this in order that fate doesn’t control one’s life. When Lorde says, “I am the face of one of your fears. … [b]ecause I am … doing my work … come to ask you, are you doing yours?” it’s as if she is invoking Jung’s concept of the shadow, of the anima, and of the animus (warrior) and challenging us to challenge our persona, in order that we may be more true to ourselves.
Even if she were not talking about race, gender, sexual orientation, or other concepts which she held dear, this is great insight on how to be psychologically healthy.
